Leatherhead & District Local History Society - Membership information

We hope that you share and would like to support our interest in the identification and preservation of our local history heritage in its many forms. Our Membership Year runs from 1st January to 31st December, and subscriptions are due on 1st January of each year. New members who join after 30th September are deemed to have paid their subscription up to the end of the following year (i.e. they receive up to 15 months membership for the price of 12!). If you pay UK Income Tax then you may benefit the Society very simply by Gift Aiding your membership.

Ordinary Members (16+)
20 subscription

  • receive our quarterly Newsletter
  • have a privilege period online access to our latest annual Proceedings and Quarterly Newsletter*
  • have member-only access to the Society's other records and our on-line Archive of other digitised documents
  • have access to the Society's Library
  • are able to take part in walks and visits when arranged
  • are able to vote at the AGM

Associate Members
6 subscription

  • must live at the same address as an Ordinary Member.
  • they have all the Ordinary Member benefits
  • EXCEPT
    they do not receive the quarterly Newsletter or annual Proceedings

Junior Members (under 18)
1 subscription

  • Junior Members have all the Ordinary Member benefits
  • EXCEPT
    They do not receive the quarterly Newsletter or annual Proceedings and they are not able to vote at the AGM

* in 2014, we decided to make the Proceedings available to Members as a download from an emailed link. The printed copy is made available for reference in the Society's library in the Leatherhead Institute and in local libraries. For those members who wish to have a printed copy, this costs 3. At our 2015 AGM we agreed to increase the Ordinary Member Subscription to 20.

Friends of Leatherhead Museum: If you would also like to join the 'Friends of Leatherhead Museum' you can do so via the Society's Membership Application Form. It costs 3 for individuals and 5 for couples. Alternatively you may go to The Friends of Leatherhead Museum page and print out the Friends own Application Form from there.
